This morning I talk about my current state of unemployment due to my decision to quit my stable mundane job and jump into the crypto space at the worst possible time in the history of crypto. Episode 132 - Market down but builders be building - Dorsey says web5 to sit on Bitcoin

Good morning! I finally carved out some time to do a Eureka Street episode. In this episode I talk about how event though the market is down, crypto and web3 are still as strong as ever. The market is just shaking out all the chodes and crappy projects in the space. Then Jack Dorsey claims that web3 will die and that web5 is where it's at. Web5 is a decentralized internet and identity layer that will sit on top of Bitcoin. Is that even bitcoin anymore? Or is he trying to force bitcoin to become ethereum now?

I this video I go over what knowledge sharing is and some of the basics and differences of the web 2.0 social media algorithms vs the newer web3 approach. Web3 solves the contributor rewards issue, the centralization issue, and give the user the opportunity for governance on the platform. Web 2.0 just gathers your data and curates your data based on emotive response to capture your attention and then sell that attention to advertisers. Episode 131 - Soulbound NFT Tokens - Dystopia or Liberation?

Good morning!  This morning I read an article by Vitalik Buterin where he explores the concept, use cases and issues of soul bound tokens.  I completely love the idea of being able to hold your college transcripts and degrees in your wallet as a non-transferable NFT.  I love that the issuer does not retain permanent control over that data.  However, there needs to be privacy a burning mechanism by the owner of the NFT.  Otherwise, the soulbound token could have deep dystopian implications.

Episode 130 - Move over Netflix. We’re Funding movies and cartoons with NFTs - The Infinite Machine

In this episode I talk about the latest update from The Infinite Machine Movie.  This upcoming movie originated from a book written by Camila Russo called the Infinite Machine.  It puts the history of Ethereum in story format and describes all the main actors in the origins of Ethereum.  It was received wide success in the crypto world.  It is now going to be made into a Hollywood film with Free Scott Productions being the company that will make it.  They are the same company that made Aliens, Gladiator, and Blade Runner, so you know it will be a blockbuster.   The difference is, is that this movie will be funded with NFTs to remain true tot he web 3 space from which it originated.  This allows audience participation at many levels of the film.

Good morning!  In this episode 457, I read an article titled "Local Journalism is the Blockchain Security Model for Politics and Culture" written by Keith Axline of JournoDAO.xyz.  He explains how the current model of journalism has become overtaken by a 51% attack by big business and corporations and decentralization is the key to bringing back unity and protecting local community values in journalism.
